Cinematography

The film ‘Quantum of Solace’ fit into the genre of action. The scene i have started with is the ‘Bell Tower Fight Scene’ it first start with a tilt down shot of male character, by showing this shot , this will allow the audience to see the costume of the character, body language and facial expression. The male character looks tried as the audience can see sweat shining from his face. Also the male character is looking up in angry which connote that he is after someone. After that the tilt down shot the camera changes into a tilt up angle shot of the male character jump crossing a platform. This is very effective because it show how apart the floor and the platform are between each other, showing the male character jumping across could show the character as the protagonist hero in the film. In addiction, in the 0.16 there is an over the shoulder shot of the male character, the male character is holding a gun and look and moving left to right, with an over the shoulder shot it show what the male character can see, i.e. his surrounding.  After this the camera changes in to close up at the 0.20, it has the male character holding a gun and look at one direction which can connote that he looking for someone and want to either kill them or injured them.

The film ‘the shining’ falls into the action/thriller and horror genre. The first scene of the film ‘the shining’ is a close up shot of a male character and has a low key lighting; this will allow the audience to seethe male character facial expression, with this shot it show the audience that he is one of the main characters in the film and allow the audience feel for the male character.  The male character is looking mysterious and suspension like he wants something behind the door. After this shot the camera has changed at the 0.06 scenes and turn in to a medium shot of a female character showing her costume, facial expression and body language. In this scene the female character is looking at a sink in the bedroom, which in the sink is a knife. Moreover, the camera change again at the 0.21 scene and change into a long shot, showing the setting and what the male character is doing,

I think that the most and best genres in the box office in the last two years have been Action, the reason why i think this because action can target many people to watch the film. Also the types of films are target at family because that means they can make a bigger profit.

So far, this year the box office have mostly comedy and horror, due to the fact that it Halloween and the movie want to scare and frightens their audience.

This advert was for people, who advertise on Mumsnet, showing that all parents hit and abuse their children but mostly boys.
