Audience

I think that music would be a easy brand to target this audience as they find it easier to relate with certain songs and genre, i.e. some rapper have had a bad life when they where younger and people nowadays are living like how their favourite rapper was living, so people are more likely to listen to them as they can quicker relate to a rapper then a singers, also all their emotion have out and they would like this type of music.
The psychographics for the ill manor audience are reformers, mainstreamer and struggler. Reformer are the people who want freedom form this world and be different. Mainstreamer is the biggest groups as they want to follow other on what ever they do in the world. and lastly struggler are the people who want to escape the youth groups, this means they want to get out of this groups and make something in life.
The class for the audience profits is people in D, E, C1 and lastly C2 they people are Working class people who don't have the skill to do something in their lives. the ages for this is ages between 18 - 24 years old as this will affect them mostly, the gender is mostly target at male as they have affect from this type of concept in the street of London

    A bibliography

The different levels in the media coursework:

  •          AO3 Demonstrate the ability to plan and construct media products using appropriate technical and creative skills.

Task 2....

Week One:   Finding a good concept/ Narrative for my production and write the Mest 2 Media Pre Production, describing five other TV shows similar to the genre we are chosen. The genre of my production is a TV crime drama as it links to the tasks demographic 15-35 year old such as E4's targeted audience. Then we found at the research for the TV drama that we are doing like the setting of the production, actors, and narrative

Week Two:  Finding more research about the production were doing to do like props, more locations and make the narrative of the production better and improved. So, I have chosen to only have one actor in the first two minutes of my production. Start thinking of the first scenes of my production: what the actor going to do the location of the scene, props and etc.

Week Three:  Improve the narrative of my production and create a storyboard and create a shot list of the opening scene for my production. Start working of some of the scene, and following this information to the actors, so they know what they are doing, what to wear, different type of props and where we are filming first.

Week Four:  I need to Finishing off the shot list and the storyboard of the production and set roles to my mates to help me film the production.

Task 3...

These are the people that will be playing the character. Tanaka is the main character, protagonist hero who wants revenge for the death of his friend, MatthewMatthew is the person who gets set up by a girl and gets stabbed. I have limited cast members because I think it easier to work in small groups. The last picture is a location where I'm planning of filming my production, it the Kensington & Chelsea Cemetery, London.

Ill Manor Website & Ben Drew TEDxObserver lecture & Case Study

Ben Drew TEDxObserver lecture

In this lecture Ben Drew displaying  a subject which  is very close to his heart, as he grew up and lives in a rough area like council estates being kicked out of school and being sent to another school, where other children are sent, which means society judge people who live and grow up in this way very quickly. One of Plan B beliefs are that people who live in this group of living in council estate are only associated and related by using the word ‘chav’. A word that undermines peoples in this group, describing them less that a person. Plan B describe the word and show it as a statement, the word stand for ‘’council house and violent". This is what Plan B thinks of the word chav of young people living and being bough up these days. After, Ben show how wrong and mistaken society is now days and how living in bad state is a bad thing via the newspapers, how they written, the big top headline and the picture are shown in the media, lastly Plan B share with the audience how children are representation in the media and how they are classed and put into a groups via where they live, sex, ethnicity and genders

2

Plan B want to target this lecture toward older demographic, as many people in this groups will lean a lot from this lecture, as it show what people think about teenage and young adult are representation. Ben also tell the audience that they shouldn't believe read everything that is in the news and the newspapers, when doing this people like to judge too quickly as everything in the media to describe to be over the top, so when people read the news it very dominant. The psychographic group I would place this in to is the mainstreamer as people want to follow the tends and follow what other people are doing in the world.

3

Plan B doesn't like how the media portrays young adult and teenagers who live on council estates and live in bad states with destroyed family like single mum and three – four children and be placed and describe in to a groups of  council house and violent". (Chav) this is what Chav means now days due to the stereotype displays now days. The media use this stereotype in order to create moral panics so that they read their newspapers. This makes the issues bigger and more important and people will worry about the issues. According to Stanley Cohen, a moral panic occurs "When a person or group of persons emerges to become defined as a threat to societal values and interests". Moral Panic for example, a five year old children has it face bitten off by a dog, the moral panic is that all dog are bad  to society and we should have them in the country

Ill Manor Website

The first page for the Ill Manors Website features many of the different characters all in film. The Ill Manor background behind the main characters is an urban and modern estate setting like bloke items, a big long flats and graffiti; these settings is featured in the Ill Manor film and show the audience that this will be the main and iconic setting for this film. The Ill Manor Website is design and layout out very well and professional, one way is the advanced side tool bar; we can click to see different pages of the Ill Manor Website, when the pages change we see different area and different character which might be featured in the film. Also, it changes when you click the side of the website, the list of the trailer, videos and buy now.

The uses of synergy is used as the album for the Ill Manor benefits the film and it selves. On the Ill Manor Website, the audience can buy the Ill Manor album and Movie. I think this is a good advertising source as they are promoting their products to the audience and they are using the album reputation to promote and sell the Movie to the audience. So people who like the album and the soundtrack which are all featured in the film can buy the album.

The image of the Ill Manors film poster is effective because the camera shot of the film poster is a long shot, the reason why they have decision to choose a long shot as the audience can see the background and the surrounding of the area and setting for the film. The background of the Ill Manor is council estate and flats which connote that the film will set in these location as the main character looks quite suspension via holding a gun and wearing clothes which is iconic with those who live in council estate and flats. The main Character is holding a gun a looking the other way to the camera this can connote that the character is the protagonist hero and has a plot in the film via his body language he very eye catching and appealing toward the audience. by having the stars, rating and the quotes by different newspapers and magazine on the film  it make the audience feel that they have to watch this film because with the newspapers and magazine trust in the the rating, the audience has to watch this film.

Case Study

Plan B's interview on The Jonathan Ross Show promotes his music,  album and the DVD for his latest film Ill Manors which premièred in July 2012. The interview took place in September, this is very effective as it is cross promotion (synergy). Plan B is promoting the DVD releases. Plan B hit the top of the charts for his album Ill manor back in the summer when the film was released. This interview was aimed at the audience, so they can hear more about the filming of the Ill Manor film and the DVD release for the film, so people can purchase the DVD when it comes out, via the interview Plan B tells the release date. This is a good way to promote Ill Manor because the audience are finding out key information about the film and the release date of the DVD.

Plan B interviews on the Radio one Show with Fearne Cotton promotes his music and his album and introduce the ill manors concept for the views and the audience. the interview was first aired in march, so it promote the ill manor sound track which came out in march and show the concept of the ill manor film.so this a cross promotion.

Featured on the Ill Manors' website there are different links to social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook, this is effective because many of the target audiences use networking sites which cross promote the movie, so it very easy for the target audience to access the internet and watch everything that
The first thing the audience see on the website is a link which is on the first page is the film trailer of Ill Mano. The reason why having the trailer on the first page because the audience can see the characters and the plots which can feature in the film. It gives the audience the key and important information they need to watch this film like the released date, setting of the film, producer, directors, the character in the film and the tittle of the film. Having the trailer the first page is very effective because it stand out for the audience; it also catches the audience attention
